Workforce services
Florida's regional workforce boards operate career centers that provide free job search assistance, computer and internet access, resume help, workshops, referrals to training funds, and priority service for veterans. These services are publicly funded and cost nothing to use.
Libraries
Public libraries in Pasco and neighboring counties provide free computer and internet access, printing, meeting space, free online learning subscriptions, and staff who help people apply for jobs every single day. A library card is the cheapest job search tool available.
Interview clothing and basic needs
Community organizations and thrift operations across the region provide low cost or free professional clothing for interviews, and food assistance, utility help and transportation support exist for people in an income gap. Calling the statewide health and human services referral line is the standard way to find what is available in your zip code without knowing which agency to ask.
Transportation
Getting to the interview and then to the job is a real obstacle in a county built for cars. County bus service, employer shuttle arrangements, ride share for a first week of work and carpool arrangements with coworkers are all worth planning before you accept an offer, not after.
Health and stability
Community health centers provide care on a sliding fee scale regardless of insurance status. Unemployment is hard on mental health, and free or low cost counseling exists in every county in this region. Handling this is part of running a search, not a distraction from it.
Legal and record questions
People with a record face specific barriers and there are specific programs for them, including expungement and sealing where eligible, bonding programs for employers, and organizations that specialize in reentry employment. Legal aid offices provide free advice on eligibility.

Every organization listed above serves people who are between jobs; that is their purpose and their funding. Asking is normal, and no one on the other end of the phone will think less of you for it.
